St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

At Drew's last visit to St Jude in October 2025, he distributed books to about 30 patients after a long day of appointments. He hand signed each book and included Marshmallow stickers and other swag.

Parkway School District

In November 2025, Drew was honored at the Parkway School Board meeting. He then donated 19 hard bound copies of his book so that each Elementary School library in the District could have a copy in circulation for their students.

St. Louis Children's Hospital / Siteman Kids

In January 2026, Drew's family donated 200 copies of Drew's book "Marshmallow Can Do Hard Things" to St. Louis Children's Hospital, Drew's home hospital. For the next year, every family who walks through the oncology clinic and hears "I'm sorry, your child has cancer" will recieve a copy of his book from their social worker. Just as they have been inspired by other families who have walked this journey, the family hopes that Drew and Marshmallow will continue to inspire those who come after.

BJC Hospice/Wings

In the final months of Drew’s life, the Wings program through BJC Hospice helped make it possible for him to be at home as much as possible. They ensured ER teams understood his care plan and answered questions at any hour, day or night. And they were there to support the family in his final hours to let the family know he was ready to go. Nurse Seanna and the rest of the team ensured his transition was peaceful and our whole family was supported.

In March 2026, 80 books were delivered to the Wings program so that every family walking this difficult journey in the next year will recieve a copy of his book.

Friends of Drew's Crew Forever have been delivering books to Little Libraries around the St. Louis area. Over 30 books have been donated as of May 2026.
