About the Author:
Tyler Patchin is a third grader at Bellerive Elementary School in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Full of energy and determination, Tyler loves staying active and challenging himself. He practices his ninja skills at All American Gymnastics and Super Ninja, trains in Tae Kwon Do at Master Kim’s Martial Arts, and enjoys swimming and riding his bike whenever he can. When he’s not on the move, Tyler can often be found playing video games or spending time playing with his dog. Above all else, Tyler is known for his big heart and friendly spirit—he truly is a friend to everyone he meets.
Tyler isn’t just a regular eight-year-old—he is a super sib. His older brother, Drew, the author of Marshmallow Can Do Hard Things, bravely fought brain cancer for six years. Throughout Drew’s journey, Tyler stood faithfully by his side, holding his hand, offering comfort, and helping him face even the hardest days. Tyler often told others that his job was to help his brother fight cancer, and he carried that role with love, courage, and pride.
Special Thanks to Jessica Kesler, who selflessly donated her time and talents to bring Tyler's vision to fruition.
